Packages
Students are able to receive packages in three ways; via Amazon Lockers, PackCity Lockers and the Residential Area Office desks.
Amazon Package Lockers
The Amazon lockers are located in Leutner Commons (near Storrs House) and in Fribley Commons. When ordering items via Amazon, students have the option to select one of the Amazon locker locations. Amazon will then deliver directly to these lockers. You will receive a message from Amazon when your package has been delivered, including a code and directions for retrieving your package.
PackCity Package Lockers
The PackCity lockers are operated by University Housing, and package carriers may deliver packages to these lockers. There are PackCity lockers located in both Wade Commons and Fribley Commons. If you have a package delivered to the PackCity lockers, you will receive a message that your package has been delivered, including a code and directions for retrieving your package.
Residential Area Offices
The Residential Area Offices will receive any postal packages not delivered to the Amazon Lockers or to the PackCity lockers. Once the staff in the office has processed your package, you will receive a message from the office with instructions for retrieving your package. All perishable items and over-size items are delivered to the Residential Area Offices.
All mail and letters for the Residential Facilities are delivered to the Residential Area Offices. This mail is then sorted and stored in the office, similar to packages that are delivered to Wade and Fribley. Residents will be notified by email when a piece of mail is sorted in one of the offices. Please note: while there are still mailboxes in the buildings, mail is no longer delivered directly to the buildings.
Triangle Towers & Property Management Apartments
Mail and packages for Triangle Towers, 1680 Building, 1719 Building, 1727 Building, The Noble, and Twin Gables will be delivered to the mail and package space for each of these buildings. While residents may still choose to use the Amazon lockers or a similar alternative, in general deliveries will be made directly to these buildings.
