Jason Buitrago

Jason serves as the Executive Director of Enrollment Management and Strategic Initiatives for the School of Medicine's graduate programs - including doctoral, master's, and certificate programs. He started at Case Western Reserve University in 2019 after a 16 year career at his alma mater - the University of Rochester. During his professional tenure he's worked in undergraduate and graduate enrollment management and financial aid. He earned his master’s degree, and is currently finishing his PhD program in higher education administration. 
Jason believes that you'll find relationship-nurturing at the heart of enrollment. He defines enrollment management as the connective tissue between various entities: admissions, marketing, academic operations, financial aid, orientation, student life and development, career outcomes, and many other student-centric functions. Analytics, strategy, and creativity - sprinkled with hard work and fun with his team - fuels his passion for a profession and students he serves.
