FRAME (Faculty Reaching for Academic Medical Excellence) is now being offered to all full time junior faculty (i.e., instructors, senior instructors and assistant professors). Women and minority faculty are strongly encouraged to apply. FRAME provides participants with: the tools and time for individualized career self-reflection, a list of campus resources to support one’s work, guidance and insights from university leaders, and the opportunity to build a cohort of colleagues within the School of Medicine. The program consists of seven half-day sessions, including two individualized one-hour coaching sessions with a Board Certified Coach. Class size will be limited to 25 participants per cohort. There is a $400 fee to participate in this program, paid by the participant or the department

The School of Medicine's Faculty Affairs and Human Resources team represents the School of Medicine's Dean's office, linking the medical school's faculty and staff with the central university.
Faculty Affairs assists departments with managing faculty appointment, reappointment, promotion, and tenure processes. We administer the department chair's annual review of their department's faculty. Faculty Affairs staffs the Faculty Council, supports its committees, and conducts faculty elections. We counsel individual faculty and chairs on CWRU and School of Medicine policies and procedures, maintain the faculty database, and work with the SOM Finance Office and University Records to process faculty and staff CWRU payroll entries and changes.
Human Resources office works directly with SOM staff, faculty, department chairs, and administrators on a broad range of Human Resources matters, serving as liaison to the university's central Human Resources. We assist with the process for new staff hires, help manage annual appointments, work with departments to set staff salaries, and process employee relations matters. We manage appointments, reappointments, and annual evaluations for Research Associates and Senior Research Associates. The HR office serves as the clearinghouse for visa applications for SOM faculty and staff.
