Services available for research involving population-based databases include: o Advice and assistance to researchers on appropriate study design and data source(s). o Access to appropriate database(s) and obtain the necessary data users' agreements and IRB approvals. o Analytic support to carry out the study. Databases available through Core's Archive: o Linked Health and Retirement Study and Medicare files, 1991-2008 o Hospital Discharge data o National Inpatient Sample (NIS) databases (1988-2010) states/years o State Inpatient Databases (SID) for various o Linked data from the Ohio Cancer Incidence Surveillance System (OCISS, 2009) with Medicare (2008-2010) and death certificate files (through 2010)
