On the passing of Fred Rothstein, MD

To our School of Medicine community,

I am writing to share that Fred Rothstein, MD, a longtime professor at the School of Medicine and pediatric gastroenterologist, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the age of 74.

A past president of University Hospitals (UH) Cleveland Medical Center and chief of pediatric gastroenterology and interim chair of pediatrics at UH Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, Dr. Rothstein's career started at Mount Sinai Hospital. He was dedicated to his patients and the field of medicine. Read more about Dr. Rothstein in his obituary. 

Funeral services will be held at the Milton and Tamar Maltz Performing Arts Center, 1855 Ansel Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44106, on Sunday, Aug. 10, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Zion Memorial Cemetery, 5461 Northfield Road, Bedford, Ohio 44146.
