The Peru Health Outreach Project (PHOP) provides students the opportunity to develop research projects in global health and gives them the flexibility to integrate other interests. Students then have the opportunity to present their research. Students regularly present their work at the Case Western Reserve University Global Health Workshop and Lepow Research Day.
PHOP research has been presented at various regional and national conferences since 2009—including events hosted by the Consortium of Universities for Global Health, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Medical Student Association. PHOP research has been published in journals, including the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology and the Journal of Global Health. PHOP faculty and students have been awarded the Case Western Reserve University Scholarship in Teaching Award in 2013 and 2021.
