Laura E. McNally is the Associate Dean for Experiential Education and the Director of the Milton and Charlotte Kramer Law Clinic at Case Western Reserve University School of Law. A dedicated educator and advocate, she has played a key role in expanding the law school’s experiential learning opportunities, ensuring students gain hands-on legal training across various practice areas.

Since joining the faculty in 2005, McNally has been instrumental in shaping the law school’s experiential education curriculum. Under her leadership, the program has grown to include a broad range of clinics, externships and advocacy programs designed to equip students with practical legal skills.

As Director of the Health Law Clinic, she has fostered interdisciplinary collaborations with healthcare providers and community organizations to address legal barriers to health and social justice. Her practice and research focus on poverty law, disability rights, children’s rights, health law and interdisciplinary education.

McNally has secured substantial funding—through grants and endowments—to support CWRU Law’s clinical programs, including the Human Trafficking Law Clinic, the First Amendment Clinic, the Environmental Law Clinic, and the Second Chance Reentry Clinic. She remains a leader in legal education, committed to preparing the next generation of lawyers to serve their communities with skill and compassion.

Passionate about mentorship, McNally enjoys working with new clinicians as they develop their teaching and advocacy skills. She is also deeply involved in national clinical legal education, having held leadership positions within the Clinical Legal Education Association and the Association of American Law Schools.
