From Oct. 26 through Oct. 28, the Ault Mock Trial Team competed in the Tournament of Champions hosted by the University of Houston Law Center in Houston, Texas. This competition is sponsored by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. Only sixteen teams in the nation are invited to compete in this tournament, based on their three-year performance records at the Texas Young Lawyers National Trial Competition and the American Association for Justice National Student Trial Advocacy Competition. This was the team's second consecutive year competing at the Tournament of Champions. This year’s criminal problem focused on the robbery and kidnapping of a law student.

Competitors Clare Kelley (‘24), Kelsey Moore (‘24), Michaella Polverini ('24) and Ryn Wayman (‘24) litigated four intense rounds of competition against teams from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, Temple University Beasley School of Law, New York University School of Law and Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law. The team is coached by Lauren Tuttle (LAW ‘17) and Madeline Kelley (LAW ‘22).
