Cassandra Roberston is one of several CWRU faculty members who received a $74,999 grant from the National Science Foundation. The money will be used to hold a conference on "Employing Public Interest Technologies to Promote Access in Education and Employment for People who have Physical Disabilities."
The workshop, to be held next year, will involve 25 invited experts who are academics, professionals, and policy makers, including those with lived experience with mobility disabilities. It will aim to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and information sharing. The principal investigator is Sociology Professor Brian Gran, and the other co-principal investigators are Research Associate Professor Francisca G Richter from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, and Dr. Anne Bryden, Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
