CWRU Launches Part-Time, Online JD Program

Student studying at home

Case Western Reserve University School of Law is proud to announce the launch of an accredited, part-time, online JD program. Open to students across the country who are seeking a flexible path to their JD degree, this fully remote program has no in-person residency or visitation requirements.

The online program will be subject to the same rigorous admissions standards that apply to our in-person program and courses will be taught by the same highly-ranked faculty who teach our in-person ones, with courses designed and instructed by some of the leading scholars in the country. Students will enjoy a small cohort size that will allow for networking and building key relationships.

Remote students will be able to take advantage of our experiential education opportunities online or at a location near them. They also will have opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities including certain law journals and Moot Court and Mock Trial teams.

Whether you are located in Cleveland, Calcutta or Copenhagen, CWRU Law alumni are sure to be nearby. Students and graduates will enjoy the benefits of a worldwide alumni network made up of over 11,000 living alumni including leaders such as Fred Gray, a 2022 Presidential Medal of Freedom winner who served as counsel to Martin Luther King; Christopher Rassi, The Chief of Staff of the International Federation of the Red Cross in Geneva; and Congressman Michael Turner, who Chairs the House Select Committee on Intelligence, just to name a few.

This innovative approach to legal education responds to the ever-evolving legal world and equips our students to do the same.

Applications for the Online JD program are open now.
