Case Western Reserve University School of Law hosts five journals that publish scholarly articles from leading academics and practitioners and select Notes from student editors. In addition, our students are encouraged to submit papers they write for seminars and supervised research to outside journals. We are pleased to announce that four students had their work selected for outside publication this year:

Maeve Dineen (LAW ‘21) published “For the Betterment of All Mankind: Claiming the Benefits of Outer Space Through Intellectual Property Rights” at 13 Hastings Science and Technology Law Journal 73 (2022). She wrote this as her Note in the Law Review Seminar in 2019–2020.

Christine Scherer (LAW ‘21) published “A Whole Woman's Mess: How the Marks Rule, Anticipatory Overrulings, and One Concurring Opinion Have Confused Lower Courts Ruling on Abortion Restrictions” at 47 University of Dayton Law Review (forthcoming 2022). Scherer wrote this piece as a supervised research paper in Spring 2021.

Margaret Wu (LAW ‘22) has placed an article in the University of Iowa's The Journal of Gender Race & Justice. Her article is an edited version of a paper that she originally submitted for a class on LGBT Legal Issues at the School of Law.

Alireza Nourani-Dargiri (LAW '22) has placed an article titled "Words We Manifest: How to Amplify Diverse Voices Through Course Materials in Lawyering Skills Classes," in volume 27 of  Legal Writing, the Journal of the Legal Writing Institute (forthcoming in 2023).
