Two students from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law were among the winners of the fifth annual The Ohio State University College of Public Health Student Case Competition, held remotely in April.
Elena Barone, a JD/MPH student, and Theo Russell, a JD/MPH/MA student, accepted first-place honors along with their teammates, CWRU Master of Public Health students Clara Harb, Farah Semisa and Scott Trask.
The team competed with students representing The Ohio State University and Wright State University on the development of a coordinated entry program for school-age youth in Ohio experiencing homelessness.
This year’s Case Competition community partner, The Coalition on Homelessness and Housing in Ohio, is a coalition of organizations and individuals committed to ending homelessness and promoting decent, safe, fair and affordable housing for all, with a focus on assisting low-income and special needs populations.
