On Sept. 27, Jessie Hill, the Judge Ben C. Green Professor of Law and Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development, argued in front of the Ohio Supreme Court in Preterm v. Yost, a case involving the constitutionality of Ohio's six-week abortion ban. Hill represents abortion providers challenging the law, together with the ACLU, Planned Parenthood and the law firm Wilmer Hale. This case comes at a critical moment for reproductive health care access in Ohio, as Ohioans prepare to vote in November on a ballot initiative that would codify reproductive rights in the Ohio Constitution.

"The stakes couldn't be higher, as access to reproductive health care is at risk in the state," Hill said. "It's a privilege to work on this important case, together with a fantastic team of lawyers, including Reproductive Rights Fellow Becca Kendis (LAW, SAS '19)."
