Professor Sharona Hoffman recently published an article entitled “Physicians and Cognitive Decline: A Challenge for State Medical Boards” in the Journal of Medical Regulation. The article develops recommendations for state medical boards to establish late career testing programs to identify older health care providers with cognitive decline and implement appropriate interventions.
She also published “Cognitive Decline in the Workplace” earlier in the year in the Wake Forest Law Review. That article explores the topic of cognitive decline more generally and analyzes what employers can and cannot do to address cognitive decline concerns in the workforce.
Hoffman is also the author of Aging with a Plan: How a Little Thought Today Can Vastly Improve Your Tomorrow (First Hill Books 2022).
