Emily Peters, a third-year student at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law, was selected as this year’s recipient of The Marvin and Sue Sicherman Excellence in Bankruptcy Award.
The annual award is given to one student from Case Western Reserve and one student from Cleveland State University who have “best demonstrated excellence in scholarship, attendance, performance and an aptitude for a career in bankruptcy and/or commercial law.”
During her time at law school, Peters has volunteered with the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, represented the law school on the Graduate Student Council, participated in mock trial and moot court and serves as the Operations Editor on the Journal of Law, Technology and the Internet.
She is currently pursuing a concentration in business law and will graduate in 2021.
