Alek El Kamhawy is Case Western Reserve University’s Middle East and North Africa Region Director for MAFI and SJD programs under the auspices of the Law School’s Cox International Law Center. Previously in private practice for 25 years with a focus on criminal law, white collar crime and terrorism litigation, he leads teams of prominent academics and distinguished professionals in Academic Research, Practical Trainings and Degree Programs in AML, CFT and Sanctions Compliance. He is also Honorary Professor of Law and Director of the American Common Law Center at the Institute of Law at the Law School's partner university, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Ukraine.
