The First Amendment Clinic at Case Western Reserve University School of Law accepts cases on a non-partisan basis where free speech interests are at stake. In the past, we’ve represented clients in affirmative litigation against government actors under federal civil rights law, and have defended clients against tort claims where the underlying conduct is speech related (e.g. defamation). Because of our student-supervision model, we are limited in how many matters we can take on at a given time, and all potential clients are required to consent to students representing them (under clinical faculty supervision).
If you think you have a matter that the clinic may be able to help you with, please email lawclinic@case.edu, and if we are taking new matters, we will send you a link to our intake form.
