Please take note of the following updates:

We are transitioning to printing ASA instead of ABS filament for our F123 printers. 

ASA matches or exceeds the mechanical properties of standard ABS and has greater heat resistance and exceptional UV stability. This material is especially suited for end-use parts in outdoor commercial and infrastructure applications.

Please take note of changes to material availability as we update our stock. During the transition, we may only offer some colors in ABS and others in ASA. 

We are updating our FDM order pricing model.

In order to more accurately reflect material and support costs, we are changing our pricing model to be based on the actual material and support use instead of the base volume of the submitted part. When models are built and oriented in ways that reduce support material, we have found that this will generally result in lower prices for our users.

How to Order

  1. Review the guidelines and decide whether you want your part printed with the FDM or PolyJet printers. If you’re unsure, check out our guidelines for choosing the best 3D printer for your project.

  2. Prepare your design using your preferred 3D modeling or computer aided design (CAD) software. (Not sure how? We offer a variety of resources so you can learn to use 3D modeling software.) 
  3. Export your design as an STL (.stl) file. This is a common 3D file format that almost any 3D modeling software can produce.
  4. Order your parts using the FDM 3D Printing Services order form. You will receive an email confirmation when we receive your order.
  5. Complete payment for your order. You will receive further information on how to do this based on the details of your order.
  6. Wait for an email notification that your parts are ready. The expected turnaround time for one order is 5-10 business days. You can watch your parts’ progress on our FDM Public Queue.
  7. Come to Sears think[box] within 30 days of receiving the email notification to pick up your parts.

Materials and Supplies 

With our Industrial FDM 3D printers, parts can be printed in ABS plastic, TPU Plastic, or PC plastic. When placing an order for this type of print, you'll specify which material (and color) you'd like to use.
