Industrial PolyJet 3D Printers

Industrial 3D Printer

Looking to 3D print in vibrant colors, clear materials, soft and rubber materials, or extremely accurate dimensions? Consider ordering Sears think[box]’s Form2.

How to Start

  1. Review the guidelines and decide whether you want your part printed with the PolyJet or FDM printers. If you’re unsure, check out our guidelines for choosing the best 3D printer for your project.
    1. PolyJet 3D Printing Services Guidelines
    2. FDM 3D Printing Services Guidelines
  2. Prepare your design using your preferred 3D modeling or computer-aided design (CAD) software. (Not sure how? We offer a variety of resources so you can learn to use 3D modeling software.)
  3. Export your design as an STL (.stl) file. This is a common 3D file format that almost any 3D modeling software can produce.
  4. For a price estimate, measure the volume of your STL file in cubic inches
  5. Multiply the service pricing rate by the volume of your STL file to calculate the price of a single part. Then, multiply that cost by the quantity for the total order cost. If you need assistance, check out our 3D printing services pricing
  6. Order your parts using the PolyJet 3D Printing Services order form. Please order each STL file separately. You will receive an email confirmation when we receive your order.
  7. Complete payment for your order. You will receive further information on how to do this based on the details of your order.
  8. Wait for an email notification that your parts are ready. The expected turnaround time for one order is five to seven business days. You can watch your parts’ progress on our Polyjet Public Queue.
  9. Come to Sears think[box] within 30 days of receiving the email notification to pick up your parts.

PolyJet 3D Printing Services Technical Information

  • Build Envelope: 13.4 x 13.4 x 7.9 inches (340 x 240 x 200 millimeters)
  • Resolution: 0.0012 inches (0.03 millimeters)

PolyJet 3D printing is reminiscent of traditional inkjet printing, but is completed in 3D.

A specialized print head jets liquid photopolymer (instead of printer ink) onto a 3D printing "build tray" (instead of paper). Each layer of droplets cures with UV light.

After curing each layer, the build tray is lowered so that another layer of droplets can be applied. The result of this slow and exacting process is a top-quality, professional 3D-printed part.

People choose the PolyJet if they need to produce professional, highly detailed parts. The printer can also mix and match materials to create full-color 3D prints. In doing so, it can also build an object that has adjustable rates of rigidity. Finally, our PolyJet supports biomimicry in the growing field of bioprinting, meaning it can mix photopolymers to create structures identical to those found in tissues and organs.
