Students will be able to select their housing during the room lottery process. All students will revive a randomly generated lottery timeslot to select their housing with their group.
All availale spaces will be distributed through the room lottery process for rising second-year students.

- To participate in the lottery process, you must complete your individual housing application on MyHousing by Monday, March 18, 2024.
- All students who applied will receive a lottery time on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
- Students will form groups in the Room Selection website and will select housing based on group sizes.
- Groups can change their leader before and during the lottery process.
- You will receive an email with more detailed information about the process.
Second-Year Lottery
Below is the anticipated number of suites/apartments in each complex available for that particular lottery process. These numbers will be finalized just prior to the start of the lottery.
~NOTE~ Clarke Tower will only be used for Second-Year Housing if needed.

Stephanie Tubbs Jones Hall
We are utilizing a limited number of STJ apartments for Second-Year Experience (SYE) housing again this year. Second-Year students will be located on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors.
New Residence Halls
The two new residence halls in the South Residential Village will only house Second-Year students.
There are very few single rooms in the new residence halls. We will create a waitlist for students seeking a single in these buildings. If some become available during the summer months, we will utilize the waitlist to offer these vacancies to students.
Important Notice
Through this process, you are allowing your group leader to act on your behalf in the room selection process. This person's actions will be binding. If a room is chosen for you, you will not be able to change it. Please be sure this person thoroughly understands your preferences.
Co-Educational Suites
Co-educational full suites will only be available in Kusch, Michelson, and Glaser houses and the apartments in Stephanie Tubbs Jones Hall. Alumni, Howe, Tippit, and Staley houses are not available to be co-ed for 2024-2025. Read the co-educational suite policy for details.
To Organize A Group For Room Lottery :
- Complete a Second Year housing application in MyHousing by Monday, March 18, 2024. Any application completed after this date will not be able to participate in room selection.
- Have your roommates complete their housing application
- Create a group on the 'Room Selection' page. Invite individuals to join your group. These individuals must accept your invitation.
- On your assigned lottery date and time, choose your apartment and assign bedrooms through the online room selection system.
To Participate In A Group For Room Lottery:
- Complete a Second Year housing application in MyHousing by Monday, March 18, 2024. Any application completed after this date will not be able to participate in room selection.
- Have the group leader send you an invite to join their group. You will need to accept this invitation.
- On the group's assigned lottery date and time, the group leader will choose an apartment and assign bedrooms through the online room selection system.
