The CWRU International Criminal Court Moot Court team competed in the America round of the world-wide competition on March 14 and 15 - the first ICC competition to be held entirely online with video oral arguments due to restrictions related to the coronavirus.

Last summer, third-year law student Kristina Aiad-Toss spent two months in El Salvador interning for International Partners in Mission (IPM), a non-profit that engages in community development projects abroad to help women and children in 66 countries.

On February 15, the CWRU Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Team received the highest average score of the 10 competing teams in the EODID Athens Vis Pre-Moot competition. The team was represented by 3Ls Teresa Azzam and Kathleen Burke.

Former FBI Director James Comey spent two hours with Adjunct Professors Jonathan Leiken and Caitlin Bell’s White Collar Crime students on Tuesday, February 11.  Professor Leiken worked for Mr. Comey as an AUSA at the U.S.

Case Western Reserve University School of Law’s Jessup International Law Moot Court Team went undefeated over the weekend in the Chicago Regional Competition held Feb. 7-9, 2020. The team went 4-0 and was the top seed out of 24 law schools after the preliminary rounds.

When Professor Wendy Wagner of the University of Texas School of Law was working on her book, "Incomprehensible! A study of how our legal system encourages incomprehensibility, why it matters, and what we can do about it," she asked Professor Juliet Kostritsky, the director of CWRU law school's Center for Business Law, for comments on the draft chapter on Consumer Protection.

Surveys indicate that there is growing interest among prospective law students in public interest law, which includes work for the government, Legal Aid and other non-profits.

For the third year in a row, Case Western Reserve University School of Law’s International Law Program was ranked among the top in the nation, with an A+ rating, according to the Winter 2020 issue of PreLaw Magazine, a publication of National Jurist.

First-year law students Sierra Lipscomb and Makela Hayford earned third place out of 18 teams in the Jan. 18 and 19 "1L Law Student Diversity Case Competition," hosted by the University of Cincinnati College of Law and Keating Muething & Klekamp.
